made a voyage to visit Boston!















S.S JOHN W. BROWN, one of the last operating survivors from the great fleet of over 2,700 Liberty
Ships and the last Operational Troopship Of World War II, called at Boston from Thursday, August
23rd through Tuesday August 28th and berthed at Pier 4 at the Charlestown Navy Yard.


On Friday August 24th, 2007 the BROWN conducted one of their famous 6-hour "Living History
Cruises" departing at 9AM, steaming in Boston Harbor, and returning at 3 PM, The BROWN sailed
in an ideal position to witness the turn-around voyage of the USS CONSTITUTION scheduled for
this date. The Living History Cruise featured
The Boston Pops- Jazz All-Stars, military and historical re-enactors, flybys by World War II
aircraft, continental breakfast and buffet lunch, and much more.

Music by Captain Wolf and Fred Buda - directing. Fred Buda is the Director of the Boston Pops -
Jazz Pops All- Stars. Original music produced by Emmy Winning Composer - Brad Hatfield, written
by Captain John Nicoll and Kimberly Hill, sung by Kimberly Hill, Evan Cole, and jazz specialist
Jeanie Flynn and Bill Champitto. Saxophonist Demetrius Spaneas, Violinist Tomoko Omura
