Kim Hill
Vocals/Songwriter

"I detect a little bit of an accent in your  voice” is what Kim Hill, is often told
by New Englanders. Kim’s roots originally stem from the deep south. New
Orleans,LA. is where Kim is originally from and that explains her "little
accent".

Kim has been a resident of Massachusetts for over 10 years, but when
you meet her you can clearly see and hear that she has not lost that touch
of southern charm and hospitality. Growing up in Bayou country as a child
among many musically talented family members is where she initially
learned to appreciate and bond with soulful music. Singing eventually
became a passion for Kim.

Subsequently she moved from the South to the Northwest. Seattle, WA.,
known as the Emerald City, is where she also lived for many years. Her
exposure to music in Seattle was the Rock-Roll of the 70’s and 80’s. She
LOVED it! After graduating from the University of Washington in Seattle,
Kim then moved back to New England for a few years. It was in Newport,
RI that she began a successful career with a Paris-based French
company in business management, touristic home stays and networking.
Kim has lived in several other parts of the United States since then:
Charleston, SC, and Monterey, CA. She has also traveled Europe and
coordinates programs all over the United States for young European
students. Her exposure in many places to people, cultures, art and music
has made her quite a diverse individual. This diversity goes hand in hand
with her talent and singing ability. Kim sings a variety of musical styles
from Rock-n-Roll, Country, Cajun, Blues, to Classical. She is happy when
she sings!

Kim first started singing with her cousin Susan LeBlanc ,who is a pianist
from New Orleans.  They have appeared together singing in Bayou
County for many town locals and relatives. They then brought their
musical act into the French Quarter and appeared as special guests on
numerous occasions at the Ponchantrain Hotel on St Charles Ave and the
Orleans Hotel right in the heart of the French quarter. Kim also sang on
two cruise ships in the Virgin Islands.

Her singing experience and musical adventures with Captain Wolf started
about four years ago at a James Montgomery concert. Since then, she
has helped coordinate
shows with Captain Wolf and has appeared as a special guest with other
Captain Wolf singers several times with James Montgomery and the
James Montgomery Band. Her specialty song (she co-wrote with John
Nicoll and Jim Raymond) with Captain Wolf is LOVE RECIPROCATION.
As a singer and organizer for Captain Wolf, Kim is delighted!! She’s
smiling` when she's performing and singing` with Captain Wolf singers.
You’ll be pleasantly entertained at a Captain Wolf show and don’t be
surprised if you hear Kim say with her little accent “I’m so glad ya’ll came.
Hope you enjoyed yourself. Ya’ll come back again soon K!! ”.
