| Newspaper Review All Star Jazz Pops and Captain Wolf Music Pre-New Year’s Eve Celebration! “With all due respect, I don’t want to have to look at a conductor or read music” is what Fred Buda said with conviction. After a music career, playing percussions professionally with the Boston Pops, Fred retired and started his own band, the All Star Jazz Pops. His band members are all retired musicians as well from the Boston Pops, and together they perform as anything from a quartet band to a quintet band. The band has no conductor, and the musicians all play by ear. They are fantastic! As band leader of the All-Star Jazz Pops, Fred enthusiastically continues with his passion for music and enjoys bringing that special impromptu touch to any event. His next exciting event, will take place at the Mt. Vernon at The Wharf. Thanks to the efforts of Captain F.J. (John) Nicoll, a.k.a. Captain Wolf, this will be a special performance sponsored by Captain Wolf Music (www.captainwolfmusic.com). The night will also feature Captain Wolf performers. The evening will begin with Bill Champittos’ Trio and also performing with the All Star Jazz Pops, will be Kim Hill and the Captain Wolf vocalists. Music by Captain Wolf and Fred Buda - directing.
